I escaped the stress of having asymmetrical eyes ...

Happy New Year 2026. I lived with eyes without double eyelids, then only the right side developed a line, and I lived with asymmetrical eyes for 20 years before finally deciding on double-eyelid surgery after putting it off and putting it off. Since I’m an office worker, I worried about it, but before 2025 ended, I decided to just do it in the winter and finally did it. I had it done on Friday and went straight back to work on Monday. Every time I took photos, I was so stressed that my eyes were uneven. On top of that, it felt like only one eye had strength, and the eye without even a double-eyelid crease had sagging skin covering down over it and blocking my field of vision, and I really hated that both sides felt different. Every time I looked in the mirror or took photos, I was stressed. If both sides had equally had none or both had them, I probably wouldn’t have done it. I had sedation + local anesthesia together, and I was worried it would hurt or that I’d say strange things if I fell asleep, but what do you know, even after getting an IV in my hand, I didn’t fall asleep. I had fasted for over 8 hours because of the sedation. It didn’t hurt at all, and if anything, my mind was clear. However, when they did ptosis correction, they pulled on the eye muscle located deeper inside, so at that moment there was an unpleasant pulling sensation, but as the doctor said, it wasn’t pain that was impossible to tolerate. Anyway, while smelling burning squid and listening to the sounds of my blood pressure and pulse, the surgery of about 1 hour and 20 minutes ended and I got off the operating table. Since it was winter, I was worried the operating table would be cold, but they turned on an electric heating pad warmly and covered me with a blanket, so I wasn’t cold. It’s just that the surgery time was a bit long, so I was secretly bored, wondering when it would end?? Fortunately, the swelling wasn’t extremely severe, but my right eye bruised and turned purple. A lot has gone down now, but a little still remains. For 3 days, I diligently did cold compresses, used a back cushion I bought on Coupang, and slept almost sitting up. Maybe because my stomach was empty, after riding nearly 1 hour by taxi, I had severe nausea and motion sickness, so I couldn’t eat well and had porridge after coming home. The pulling in my eyes was severe from days 1-3, maybe because of swelling, so I worried a lot that the ptosis correction had gone wrong. Thankfully, as the swelling subsided, it gradually improved. Now I’m on day 28, and it has become much more natural. I also had fat removed. Yesterday there was something like a spot in my eye, so I visited the hospital, but it was just dust. They said if I practice opening my eyes properly without using my forehead, the swelling will go down faster and the line will settle prettily haha. I wonder if this is a successful escape from asymmetrical eyes. If you have any questions, leave a comment. For reference, the line is in-out.
