As the anesthesia wore off, my eyes felt a bit stiff and throbbed. I was really nervous on the day of surgery, but talking with the staff member in the operating room made me feel a little better. Right after surgery, I went to the recovery room and diligently did cold compresses right away.
Day 1 The day with the worst swelling. I could open my eyes, but they throbbed and felt like I had gained 200 kg of stone. There was almost no bruising, just a feeling of, “Oh, I had surgery.” I kept doing cold compresses.
Day 2 The swelling was still there, but it was slightly better than yesterday. Opening my eyes was a bit easier, and my eyes stung. I could see the line well, so I got a little excited.
Day 3 It definitely became a little more comfortable. My right eye opened better, and there was almost no pain. They still throbbed and stung. As the swelling went down, the line felt like it was becoming a bit more natural!
Days 4-5 The swelling noticeably went down. Opening my eyes also felt natural, and the marker marks from the name pen used before surgery and the slight bruise-like areas faded a bit. It doesn’t look too obvious that I had double eyelid surgery, but it’s still a little swollen.
One week Daily life is completely possible. It doesn’t look like an excessive double eyelid surgery result at all, and it looks natural. When I had monolids, my impression was gentle, but now it looks more defined + slightly handsome-pretty, so I’m satisfied. Maybe because it was natural adhesion, the line is stable and doesn’t look artificial. They’re not eyes that scream, “I got double eyelid surgery!” but look natural, like they were originally this way. I really recommend it to people who want natural-looking double eyelid surgery 👍
