I had thigh liposuction surgery. Please be aware that during thigh liposuction, the groin area and labia majora may be suctioned.
1. The groin area normally has one clean line, but if it is suctioned, multiple folds may form. 2. The existing line may disappear. 3. The labia majora may be suctioned together as well. 4. Sometimes, suction may be performed on areas that were not desired.
I was told by a doctor I consulted for reconstruction that the groin is not an area that should be suctioned. (This is the doctor’s personal opinion.)
As I remember, during the preoperative consultation, I was not told that the groin area and labia majora would be suctioned, and I also never requested suction in those areas.
I am currently taking antidepressants. I understand that many victims of liposuction side effects suffer from depression due to physical deformities. Some side effects cannot be reversed with money or treatment.
For those considering liposuction or fat grafting that involves liposuction, please be fully aware of this and make your decision carefully.
