I’d been subtly bothered by my flattened ears for a long time, especially when taking photos or tying my hair up. It wasn’t anything extremely strange, but because my ears lay slightly flat, I felt like my face looked wider, so I started considering surgery with the thought, “Would my impression look a bit different if this were corrected?” It also helped a lot that I was able to do it through an event, so I could decide without too much pressure. Honestly, after the surgery, it wasn’t completely painless. For about a week, I had a throbbing feeling, and it was a little uncomfortable when I slept on my side or when my ears were pressed. Still, it wasn’t to the point where daily life was impossible, and it gradually got better over time. It’s now been about 3 months since the surgery, and there’s almost no discomfort in daily life anymore. The shape of my ears also feels like it has settled naturally. Overall, my ears stand neatly, and it has the effect of making my face look smaller, so I’m satisfied. Most of all, it’s barely noticeable that I had surgery for flattened ears, but my overall impression looks subtly more refined, which I like the most.
