Review of ptosis correction and incisional revision surgery

After the double eyelid surgery I had with a partial incision 15 years ago came undone, I had been living with it undone for 10 years, and with the long Chuseok holiday coming up, I decided to have revision surgery. At a community cafe, I narrowed it down to a few hospitals famous for eye revision surgery, then went for consultations at two places with good reviews. At one place, they said buried suture would be enough, and at the second hospital I visited, they recommended ptosis correction due to blepharoptosis and an incision. When I asked if buried suture wouldn’t work, they firmly said no hahahaha, and the director spoke with more certainty, so I felt convinced and decided to have surgery at the second hospital, Eye@. The director Lee Han@, who is famous for revision surgery, was just as rumored: extremely meticulous and very well-mannered. I don’t like unfriendliness, but excessive kindness is also uncomfortable; the director seemed to have both skill and character. On the day of surgery too, he marked the line before surgery, and even after entering the operating room, he carefully checked the line several times while I was lying down and sitting up. The surgery did not take long, and even though it was an incision surgery, the swelling afterward was not severe, so I was quite surprised. As expected, the director’s skill was tremendous. He said the bruising wouldn’t be severe and the swelling would go down quickly, and recovery really was fast. After one week, the swelling on the right side had mostly gone down. To the point that unless I looked down, it barely looked like I had double eyelid surgery. And maybe because I had ptosis correction, opening my eyes became very comfortable. I regret not doing it sooner. I highly recommend it to people who are worrying like I did!
