Phew, I had surgery this morning and after lying in the recovery room for about an hour, I’m on my way home..
I wasn’t under full sedation; I had local anesthesia too, so I had the surgery while I was awake.. But I don’t know if the anesthesia was weak or wearing off, but it hurt so much.. During the final suturing, I was doing it while tears were coming out lololololol Phew
They removed everything that could be removed, and they said they might have to use ear cartilage for the nasal tip, so I even took out my ear piercings so the holes would close, washed my ears squeaky clean, and went in, but in the end they didn’t use ear cartilage!
Around the time the surgery ended, they showed me the removed silicone, donated costal cartilage, and the septal extension material, and even when I was lying in the recovery room, they brought them again and showed me. lol Fortunately, there was usable septal cartilage left, so they used that instead of ear cartilage.
When I touch the nasal tip, it definitely feels lower.
Fortunately, they said my silicone was very thin, less than 2 mm, so my nasal bridge might be better than expected..
The most uncomfortable thing for me was that I couldn’t breathe well through my left nostril, and I hope this improves too.. I think I’ll only know once the swelling goes down to some extent.
I didn’t have a splint or nasal cotton packing, only taping.
*** I won’t disclose the clinic name for now. After I recover to some extent and see the swelling go down, I’ll post again.***
