And because I don’t like silicone, I looked into implant-free options! Because of time, I only went to two places. For reference, I absolutely want something natural, and I’m scared of side effects… I’m right before booking, but I’m still debating ㅠ
1. ㅊㄷㅊ (Director ㄱㅌㅎ) - Price: 6.4 million won (2.4 million rhinitis + 4 million cosmetic) - Nasal tip: septal cartilage + nasal bridge: donated fascia? used
First, the clinic atmosphere was really good, and the consultant also had a very confident? way of speaking. It wasn’t pressuring, and before seeing the director, it was good to watch the implant-free guide video they had prepared on YouTube. And during the consultation, my side profile is exactly like IU’s, short nose + low nose + low glabella + small face + the whole lower face feels slightly protruded, so kind of a sulky look? (That’s why I also had orthodontic treatment ㅠㅠ) But they said my glabella isn’t on the low side. They said my nose is indeed short and low lol… and that my face has a cute impression, so rather than making it flashy, it would be better to keep it natural. I also prefer natural, so it matched my needs well. They explained a lot too, but since this was my first time doing consultations, I couldn’t ask many questions. That was a shame ㅠㅠ Everything else was really good, and I liked that they did a virtual simulation too, exactly not overdone. And because I’m more focused on rhinitis, I liked that the director was an ENT doctor. I had both inferior turbinate and septum issues, and for the inferior turbinate, the mucous membrane on the right side was definitely much enlarged, so it seemed like I needed to do it. They said my septum is rather straight, so I don’t necessarily need to do it, but it would be good to do it while I’m already having surgery. Inferior turbinate 1.8 million + septum 600,000, so 2.4 million, but with 90% covered by actual-expense insurance, what I’d pay is about 240,000? But the downside was that overall it was too expensive ㅠㅠ And the consultant kept asking if I was going to book, which felt pressuring, so that was a bit… yeah.
2. ㅇㅇㅂ (I don’t remember the director’s name ㅠㅠ) - Price: 2.75 million won (rhinitis 700,000 + cosmetic 2.05 million? Or was rhinitis 750,000…) - I think it was slight hump shaving + silicone nasal bridge + nasal tip cartilage (ear cartilage)
The clinic was huge and so massive that I was surprised, but that actually made me feel put off because it felt a bit factory-like… And somehow the staff treated me too mechanically? You know, it had exactly that feeling. The consultant also spoke to me in a way that felt like she was humoring me like a child, so that was a bit off… And above all, the reason I’m saying I don’t remember that director’s name and writing roughly is that originally I wanted to get it done by Director Park. I heard he does natural results well. But he was in surgery, so suddenly they had Director Kim? or some other director, the center director, see me instead. So I ended up consulting with that director, and he told me I had a hump (huh? I’d never heard that once in my 20-something years of life) and that it had to be shaved. But looking at it, it wasn’t completely protruding; the hump bone was inside, almost touching the nasal bridge bone, and actually hadn’t broken through the bridge. But he kept saying I had a hump and suggesting shaving it, and saying I should do silicone. There’s someone around me who had side effects after silicone, so I said I wanted implant-free. Even so, he said silicone is safe and kind of pushed silicone… I was shocked and said, “Shave… the bone?!!” but he kept emphasizing silicone. He mentioned cartilage for the nasal tip, but my trust had already dropped a bit at the hump part, and like I said above, I’m aiming for a natural look. But he seemed to emphasize a flashy nose? Rather than a nose that suits my face shape, it felt like he kept talking about the kind of nose he can do well. And what was kind of funny? absurd was that after the director consultation, the consultant said that even if it wasn’t this director, I could have surgery with that Director Park. I mean, it was absurd to get the consultation from the center director and then have surgery with Director Park, whom I hadn’t even consulted with… Honestly, I was really flustered at this point. Oh, and for rhinitis, here it was a collaboration between ENT and plastic surgery, so I had separate consultations, and during the ENT consultation they said my septum was almost straight, so if I had surgery, there could actually be a dispute with the insurance side. So I felt uneasy, wondering why clinic 1 said that… Anyway, because of those points, I put down a deposit here and then pulled it back.
After reading other people’s reviews, I was leaning toward clinic 1, but today I searched septoplasty side effects and there are more than I expected ㅠㅠ Not being able to breathe, cartilage showing through… The clinic says I don’t need to worry about the cartilage showing through, but not being able to breathe worries me the most ㅠㅠㅠ Should I just do the rhinitis only? What do you think… But I’m so stressed about my side profile that I’m still debating… sigh, what do I do? I was planning to have surgery on Thursday.
