I had double eyelid surgery in high school 8 years ago. The doctor said he wouldn't do eyes that didn't need it. Back then I wore double eyelid tape, and he said that since I was walking around with tape on, the appearance with the crease would probably be better, so he did it. He didn't recommend other procedures like medial epicanthoplasty. He said if I wanted them I could do them, but I was young at the time and couldn't objectively judge my appearance, so I didn't do it and regret that now.
