I finally had incisional double eyelid surgery yesterday!!!! (I tried to write in detail…

(I wrote this yesterday, so please understand if the tense doesn’t match^^;) I had it done at Choi Oh Kyu Plastic Surgery in Apgujeong. Around 10 a.m., I went to the clinic, had a brief consultation, and took photos (I had already had a consultation before). The doctor said that, as expected, a full incisional method would be better. My eyelids are thin, but they lack strength and tend to sag, so if they were done with the buried-suture method, they would likely come undone quickly. Anyway, I waited nervously for about an hour, and finally went into the operating room around 11! I got an antibiotic injection in my buttock (I had received antibiotics before when I was hospitalized, so I knew what it felt like and was okay. But for those who have never had one, it may hurt a bit~) I got local anesthetic injections two or three times in each eye, and I really hated the feeling of the needle going into my eyelids; Then I felt the doctor drawing lines with something for the design, and finally the surgery began! I could hear the crisp sound of my flesh being cut -_- and there was that (1) burning squid smell I had seen mentioned in many reviews (that’s from cauterizing with a laser, right? I didn’t really like that feeling;;) I could also really feel the needle passing through my eyelids;;; The doctor kept telling me in the middle to open my eyes wide and then close them again. I think he was checking the progress. Oh, and when I opened my eyes midway, there was the pressure -_-;;;; of seeing bits of my flesh on the nurse’s gloved hand; After the surgery was all done, they applied ointment, and that was it! It took about an hour and a half, and the doctor said it did take a long time. I had the surgery while talking with the doctor, and we talked about all sorts of things; Because I tried to focus as much as possible on the conversation, it didn’t hurt much except for some throbbing here and there^^ Overall, it was tolerable. Anyway, after the surgery ended and I was going home, the anesthesia wore off, and only then did it keep throbbing and hurting. Later, tears just kept coming out on their own. But after I got home, took painkillers and the medicine I received from the clinic, it doesn’t hurt at all now :) Only, a little bloody tears; keep coming out, and my vision is blurry, so I’m typing while looking at the monitor from really close up; My eyes also feel a little heavy. After seeing many people’s before-and-after surgery photos, I think I really haven’t swollen much lol. Though I did hear tomorrow is the peak; Anyway, for those planning to have surgery, take courage^^ (And now, one day later! From morning until afternoon, tears kept coming out, so I dabbed them with tissue, but now it’s okay, and I can see clearly too. I heard somewhere that walking is good for reducing swelling, so I went outside, walked, and shopped;;; And when I asked the doctor, he said I also had epicanthoplasty and fat removal. Anyway, I hope time passes quickly.)
