I survived one week of nasal packing. The swelling really hit its peak, then from day 4 it slowly started moving downward, and now I have yellowing under my eyes plus puffy cheeks Because of the splint and packing, the only part I can see right now is my nasal tip, but last evening while looking in the mirror, I noticed an indentation like someone had poked it with a ballpoint pen. I don’t know if it happened because too much scar tissue was removed, or if it’s a temporary thing as the swelling went down after being swollen. I kept looking in the mirror, then pulled my shattered mentality back together and am avoiding it with the mindset of “it’s still too early to judge.” I’m excited but scared to face my fish-face tomorrow…
