I had it done at ㅈㄹ in Apgujeong. I went at 1, got an IV for about two hours (to prevent exhaustion), and went into surgery after 3:30. At first, because of the anesthesia, I could feel things but there was no pain. It was like a fantasy experience... like spinning auroras in front of my eyes.. It was a fascinating experience. But from the middle, the anesthesia gradually started wearing off and I began to feel pain. Maybe because I’m quite timid and more sensitive than others, I was trembling all over the entire time during surgery. But the doctors kept operating while half complaining and half swearing, saying there was a lot of stuff in my eyes. I think that director just talks like that normally, but still, I got even more terrified and was in a panic. Toward the end of the surgery, the anesthesia had completely worn off... it hurt so much I truly can’t put it into words. It hurt so badly that I couldn’t speak and could only groan, and the doctors said it was almost over.. then kept going for quite a while--.. At the time, I really resented them so much.. At the end, they were doing something to the outer corners of my eyes, and it hurt so much I thought I would faint. After the surgery ended, while I was still out of it, they told me to get up right away, so with the nurse’s support I staggered out of the operating room. Even then it hurt so much that tears were streaming down... when I saw my mom’s face, I felt so wronged that I cried even more.. They said if I cried, the bleeding would keep coming out, so I barely managed to stop crying while taking deep breaths. It kept hurting so much.. so while my younger sibling, who came with me, was having surgery for an hour, I lay in the inpatient room and did ice compresses. But it hurt so much that even just the weight of the ice touching my eyes was painfully unbearable... On the way back in the car, both of us were in so much pain that we couldn’t talk and only groaned. When I got home, I ate porridge and took painkillers. My eyes were tearing so much that when I tried to gently wipe them, they were bloody tears. I was shocked and called my younger sibling, and they said they were also continuously having bloody tears. I fell asleep while doing ice compresses like that, and when I woke up in the morning, the pain had gone away, but all the bloody tears had hardened and were stuck all over the outer corners, inner corners, and lower lash lines of my eyes. It hurt so I couldn’t even remove them.. and because of the band-like things the hospital put on, I can’t open my eyes fully either. Right now I’m still in that state, doing ice compresses and eating lots of tasty food. During this surgery, it hurt so much that from now on I’ve decided to respect Uhm Jung-hwa and Bada.-_-; Since many people here said it didn’t hurt much, I thought it wouldn’t hurt. Yesterday was probably the most painful experience of my life.. But they told me to come in tomorrow to remove the bands and stitches. What if it hurts then too? ㅠㅠ
