About lateral canthoplasty...

First of all, I had lateral canthoplasty too. I really wanted it. I thought my eyes would get bigger too... When I had a consultation at the plastic surgery clinic, the doctor said I didn’t need to do it. So, because the outer corners of my eyes are slightly raised, I insisted that they do it, thinking lateral canthoplasty might also have the effect of lowering the outer corners and making my eyes bigger. Then the doctor said, “I don’t think it will have much effect, but if it’s your wish, I’ll do it.” ^^;; That’s what he said. It cost an additional 400,000 won. On the day of surgery, I went to the clinic and, oh, one of my juniors was in the operating room there. I said hi since we knew each other, got a bit of an acquaintance discount, and when I said I was also getting lateral canthoplasty, my junior tried to stop me. “Why?” “Don’t do it, senior. Even if you do, it won’t have much effect... I think you’ll just waste your money.” Still, I had made up my mind.. “If I don’t do it, I think I’ll regret it later. Even if I waste the money, I’ll do it first and then regret it.” I’m quite stubborn in my own way. I did it. Honestly, I’m not trying to scare you. My double-eyelid anesthesia didn’t hurt at all. The surgery was manageable. The anesthesia for lateral canthoplasty. Tears came out without me realizing it. I made groaning sounds like “Uh~ uh~.” The doctor praised me for enduring it really well. He said he’d never seen a patient like me... It really hurts. (Removing the stitches hurt so much too.) Now, the surgery result you all have been waiting for... It’s been one week now. I saw in this community that people who had it done said it sticks back together easily, so as soon as I wake up in the morning, I pull open the outer corners first. I hold the upper and lower eyelids and gently pull. I frequently open my eyes wide and pull the corners open. Currently, about half has stuck back together. -.-;; If more time passes, I think it will all stick back together. It’s really~~ empty and disappointing. The money feels wasted, and I feel wronged about how painful it was... I cried when the stitches were removed too. Because it hurt... ㅜ.ㅜ;; I’m just saying this so you can keep it in mind when having surgery. Still, I’m sure some people will stubbornly do it like I did. ^^ Unless your eyes are really tiny buttonholes, I don’t think there’s any need to do it. In the end, it sticks back together. Just keep it in mind.^^
