It's been 1 month since I had chin-tip reduction. I spent a long time worrying about my long chin, then went to a place where I could consult with the director first before the consultant, and had it done there.
Until weeks 1-2, because of the swelling, I felt depressed every day, my mental state fell apart, I was taking time off work, my emotions were really up and down, and I kept only talking to people around me about how upset I was. But from week 2 (after the stitches were removed), the major swelling started going down quickly, and now it's been a little over a month. I keep thinking I should have done it sooner. Before surgery, I couldn't even imagine taking photos with the basic camera, and the whole process of taking a photo > Photoshopping it was so exhausting. But now I just take photos with the default camera and casually upload things to Instagram and stuff haha. My friends say my face shape changed into exactly the face I used to edit on Instagram lol For now, the swelling under my chin has gone down more, and my sensation hasn't fully returned yet, but from other progress posts, it seems like quite a lot can still remain even at one month. Before surgery, I only worried about it for over 10 years, but after actually having the surgery,
I really felt it at my final progress check, like wow, my face shape has improved so much.. I'm sure everyone is the same, but before the swelling goes down, you get sensitive about small changes or your chin shape and have a lot of questions. In case anyone here is anxious before the one-month mark, ask questions in the comments and I'll answer. And for everyone here who had contouring longer ago than me, please tell me what I'm curious about.
1. When does sensation in the lower jaw come back? 2. When did you start smoking?? (lol after surgery I keep coming in here once a day? I thought I wouldn't come in once the swelling went down, but I think there is something relatable about reading other people's posts)
