Because of ptosis, I was looking into eye shape correction, and without knowing much, I had the surgery after only looking at the clinic’s internet homepage. I already had dry eye syndrome, but because of lacrimal caruncle exposure, the stinging in my eyes became worse. Early after surgery, I also had lagophthalmos due to overcorrection. Now, more than 10 years later, it has settled, so from the outside it doesn’t look like it was terribly botched, but the epicanthoplasty looks unnatural, so I’m eventually looking into epicanthoplasty restoration.
