Everyone, today is finally day 7 after surgery It’s the day I go to the hospital for follow-up, and I’m finally getting the sideburn stitches removed
Then the swelling should go down even faster, right? I had some time left before my hospital appointment, so I came to write my day-7 review First, day 7 My mouth opens quite a bit now. One finger goes in easily (before surgery, two fingers fit lol) Eating is still hard if I try regular food My jaw hurts if I chew for a long time I’m automatically dieting Also, my surgical swelling isn’t on the severe side, so even though it’s only been a week, if it weren’t for the bruising around my mouth and eyes, I could go around without a mask (It’s just like I’m a bit swollen / swelling that can be covered if I roughly hide it a little with my hair)
My lower jaw feels the heaviest, and the sensation there is the most tingly and has a unique feeling
The stinging inside my mouth was a 7 until yesterday, but today it’s about 4-5
I have pocket-like swelling in my cheeks, like a squirrel
But the 45-degree cheekbone line and square jaw that always stressed me out are already smooth, so I’m already satisfied^^
I wear the compression band and walk at least 10,000 steps on the treadmill like my life depends on it, and then walk another 10,000 steps outside (trying for 20,000 steps every day) Also, because heating hot/cold packs was annoying, I bought a hot/cold compress device on Coupang, apply aloe gel, and do hot/cold compresses frequently I only wear the compression band when running, and sometimes when I think, oh, I’m really not wearing it enough? I put it on I use a gua sha to massage lymph areas like my neck line, collarbones, and armpits Since I move around like crazy, I think the swelling is going down well
And the pharmacist who recommended the tasty powdered Tylenol (berry flavor) from the pharmacy that I could really take without water, thank you so much~~~ Ah, after surgery, my throat pain was just so-so, but from day 1 after surgery, the bloody sputum and the sore throat that started to show a little were kind of hard, so I always carried water with me. On day 7, the sputum has decreased a lot and the throat pain is gone I did have bloody sputum once today though;; Anyway, besides regular food being hard and facial bruising, there’s nothing uncomfortable I’ll come back with another review~~^^
