Don’t Smoke... I Just Had Blood Drained

I know everyone probably already knows this.. But I didn’t know it could get this serious. For me.. today is exactly day 8 after surgery. After surgery, I had posted here asking if it was okay to smoke and all that, and everyone’s reactions were split about half and half. Some people said they smoked, and some said you shouldn’t. Yesterday.. I went to the clinic to have the tape removed.. The director and the consultant were worried, saying the bruising was lasting a long time.,. The swelling goes down only when the blood gets absorbed.. but in my case, they said it looked like the blood hadn’t been absorbed at all,,.. They said we should drain it. At first.. they drew it out with a syringe.... Even after drawing and drawing it out.,.. blood clots kept being felt, so they said they should reopen the area that had been incised during surgery and remove the pooled blood. I thought it was the best way to get rid of the swelling... so I said okay. When I first had the surgery, I was under sedation, so I didn’t even know if it hurt.. If I had known earlier that local anesthesia was this painful, I don’t think I would have had the surgery. After local anesthesia, they removed the blood pooled in my nose and the clotted blood lumps.. It was honestly pure torture. I came home thinking I’d never smoke again.. but.. When I saw myself in the mirror, I just kept sighing again.. I felt so frustrated that I ended up smoking again... It’s day 8 after surgery, and both eyes are still bruised dark purple They told me to come back to the clinic again this Saturday... I feel like I’m the only person who has to go to the clinic for treatment for 2 weeks
