I have a square jaw... and my teeth are a little protruded and crooked, so I was planning to get orthodontic treatment too... Given my situation, I want to have square jaw surgery first and start orthodontic treatment a few months later... One thing I'm worried about is that most people who have had orthodontic treatment say that their jawline becomes slimmer after braces. If I've already had square jaw surgery... if orthodontics affects my jaw again, I worry it might look unnatural (like the jawline gets too sharp, etc.) Also, my upper dental midline and lower dental midline don't match very well... they're crooked. So if I do square jaw surgery and then orthodontics... I'm worried that when those midlines are corrected later, the jaw that I tried to make symmetrical through surgery might end up becoming slightly asymmetric. (Of course, this is just my personal thought.) Has anyone done both? Please relieve my worries~~
