Day 5 after incisional ptosis correction surgery. The side effects I’m experiencing right now are eye pressure, decreased vision, monocular diplopia, amblyopia, astigmatism, and headaches. In particular, the vision loss in my right eye is very severe. The letters blur upward, causing a ghosting/diplopia phenomenon, so I can’t read text properly.
My guess is that changes in the eyelid are putting pressure on the cornea and eyeball, leading to decreased vision.
My left eye is fine. There isn’t much swelling. Compared with that, my right eye is very swollen. I plan to check whether my vision returns as the swelling goes down and the pressure on the eyeball decreases. I’ll monitor it for up to 2 months.
I’ll come back and write updates on my progress weekly.
