Upper Blepharoplasty Lift

■ Upper blepharoplasty lift (surgery to correct drooping eyelids); surgery that makes you look 7 years younger Not everyone needs to have double eyelids. If conventional double eyelid surgery is like tying a skirt that drags on the ground with a waistband, this surgery is like shortening the waist portion so that the outer appearance of the skirt does not change while it no longer drags. In other words, if double eyelid surgery is like a Pony passenger car, this surgery is a procedure with enough class to be called a Benz passenger car. It is a surgery I developed myself and one our hospital is proud of. When people have double eyelid surgery as they age, there can be side effects such as looking harsh and vulgar or losing their original kind impression. This surgical method was devised while considering how to satisfy patients’ wishes. The results are very good, and scarring has also become a non-issue. 1. Cases where double eyelid surgery does not suit the patient because the eyelids are thick 2. Cases where the patient’s own double eyelids are not visible because the skin droops a lot 3. Cases where the outer corners of the eyes become irritated with age 4. Cases where drooping eyelids cause the patient to open the eyes using the eyebrows 5. Cases where forehead wrinkles form because of No. 4 [Surgical Method] This surgery excises about 8-10 mm of the thick skin, muscle, and fascia below the upper eyebrow in a spindle shape, then pulls the lower fascia upward and fixes it to the periosteum. It is an upgraded version of existing surgeries, so the eyes do not droop and the area between the brows does not narrow. Scarring is also not considered a problem, so the results are very good. ■ Postoperative Course and Treatment Washing the face is possible from the 2nd day after surgery, stitches are removed on the 4th day, and after about 1 week there is no difficulty with daily life. Apply cold compresses immediately after surgery; from the 2nd day, warm compresses and sauna help reduce swelling. Occasionally, the forehead and scalp may feel numb.
