★I'm posting precautions after double eyelid surgery★

After I had incisional double eyelid surgery, the clinic wrote down precautions for me. I hope this helps 1. At first, wash by splashing water, and from 3 weeks after surgery, wash lightly using a very gentle mild soap (NO foam cleanser) (do not rub) 2. During the wound-healing process, around week 2 and between one month and one and a half months, it may itch. This is normal, so do not panic. During the day, apply an ice pack or ice towel briefly for 3-5 minutes, and do it once more before sleeping. 3. Do not rub your eyes to remove eye discharge. Wet a cotton swab with water to remove it, or wash lightly with water -> Absolutely do not rub 4. For the next month, do not wear heavy eye makeup. (If makeup powder gets into the incision line, side effects such as oozing may occur) -> From 2 weeks after surgery, you may apply lotion. 5. Do not rub or massage your eyelids (If callus-like hard tissue forms, it takes 2-3 months to soften) -> The surgical scar may open, and the double eyelid line may become weak and either loosen or become an inner double eyelid. 6. When the incision line (double eyelid line) feels tight or hard, lightly apply lotion to the eyelid or apply a small amount of Terramycin eye ointment 7. There are 3 suture knots inside the eyelid (They do no harm to the human body -> They may feel rough, but do not rub.) * Avoid Korean dry saunas and jjimjilbangs for one month. * Do not use contact lenses (for at least 1 year) ※ Do not use mascara or eyeliner for at least 1 year
