It was a small surgery, but I got a lot of help here, so.. I’m posting my own review too. I only had inner corner epicanthoplasty. I already had double eyelids, but my interocular distance was too wide, which was bothering me. My interocular distance is 4.1. I had never had any surgery, let alone cosmetic surgery, so once I got up on the operating table, I honestly just wanted to run away.. Since I was so nervous, the doctor and the nurse kept talking to me, and they reassured me that it was a simple surgery, so I didn’t need to worry, and they even played music.. They were very kind.. For the anesthesia, they used local anesthesia and gave about 4 injections only at the inner corners of the eyes, and honestly, it really hurts... it hurts enough to make tears pour out. I thought you weren’t supposed to cry during eye surgery, but I guess it doesn’t matter.. It hurt a bit during the surgery too, so they gave me anesthesia once more. The surgery took about 30 minutes, and after it was done I rested for about 30 minutes with an ice pack on my eyes while lying on a bed with the electric heating pad turned on. Actually, I had the inner corner epicanthoplasty done without my parents knowing.. but there was absolutely no way to keep it secret. -ㅅ-;; I heard the stitches were thinner than hair, but when I looked at my eyes after surgery, there were these huge stitches like Frankenstein @0@ At first I was so shocked I didn’t realize it, but later I saw that the thread really was as thin as hair, and it just looked that thick because blood had clotted around it. The parts I didn’t understand when looking at other people’s surgery photos all made sense once I had the surgery myself. Also, inner corner epicanthoplasty really doesn’t cause much swelling, but it does cause bruising.. The area around the dark circles had red bruising, and it was worst on the 3rd day after surgery By the 4th day after surgery, it started to itch a little. On the 2nd day after surgery, I went to the hospital once for disinfection and the doctor checked the condition. I had the stitches removed exactly on the 7th day yesterday. Some people said stitch removal hurts, but in my opinion, compared to the anesthesia injection, it’s really nothing. It stings a little. After the stitches were removed, there was a bump? on one eye, and the doctor seemed to apply anesthetic ointment and shave it down a bit with a laser. Today, on day 8.. it still itches a little and there’s still a little bruising left and a scab has formed lightly where the stitches were, but there doesn’t seem to be much scarring.. I don’t think you need to worry too much about scars. I measured my interocular distance just now and it seems to be about 3.75? So I guess it widened by about 2 mm on each side. Since I widened it by 2 mm each side, my eyes definitely look bigger I used to just have round eyes, but now they’re kind of almond-shaped? If you like round eyes, you should think carefully about this Before, when I took photos and wanted to open my eyes wide, I had to really tense my forehead, but now if I just put a little strength into my eyes, they open wide naturally A 2 mm difference really is huge.. When I walked down the street and the wind blew, air suddenly rushed into an area that normally didn’t get wind, and that cooling feeling was awkward ^^;; Anyway, I’m satisfied. That’s the end of my review~ It was a bit long, right! Everyone, become prettier~ >ㅂ
