Review on day 13 after paranasal augmentation

It’s already almost been 2 weeks since surgery. I really feel that it’s very different from week 1 after surgery. At one week after surgery, it didn’t feel like my face, but now it has returned a lot to my old face. Still, there is some swelling left, so it’s still a bit different. Overall, the swelling on the left side has gone down a lot, and the right side has not gone down as much yet. Around the paranasal area, an area about the size of a 500-won coin is still a bit hard. The clinic said it’s all swelling. And the tight swelling next to the nasal ala has started to go down, so it has become slightly sunken. If more swelling goes down, the nasolabial folds will naturally appear too, right? It seems half of the swelling in the philtrum has gone down too. On Saturday I met friends and kept chatting, so maybe because I used the muscles a lot, when I smile, about half of my upper teeth show. When I just talk, about 3 mm of my upper teeth show, and it’s still unnatural when I talk or smile. From the front, there’s still a slight monkey-like impression left, so I’m not sure whether I’ve become prettier. But the reason I wrote that a monkey-like impression still remains is that you remember your own previous face well, right? So even small swelling looks very different to my eyes. On Saturday (day 11 after surgery), I went to the hair salon to get my hair done, and I told the stylist that my face is a little different from my original face because of swelling. She said, “Really?” and that she couldn’t tell at all. But my friends said my impression had changed a lot, whether because of the swelling or something else. After the surgery, the comments I heard the most were asking whether I had nose surgery or jaw surgery. Probably because people don’t think of paranasal augmentation, right? The changes after surgery are like this. I looked at old photos and then looked at myself in the mirror now. Even though I had the surgery, I couldn’t really tell what had changed, so I stared for a long time and this is what I felt. It feels like the nasal alae have become more refined. People say paranasal augmentation makes the nose stand out, and I think that’s true. My original face had a slightly large, round nasal tip, and the nasal alae were a little flattened. But as the nasal alae lifted slightly and became more defined (maybe because the paranasal implants were inserted underneath and lifted them a bit...), should I say the nose looks neater? It feels cleanly refined. But they say paranasal augmentation makes the nasal alae spread, and they really do seem to have spread slightly, and the nostrils got bigger too. Still, the nasal alae look prettier, so I’m mostly satisfied. My nasal tip was slightly large and long, but after paranasal augmentation, it seems slightly lifted. So compared with before, my side profile has become much prettier. For those whose nasal alae are spread out and whose nose is short, I think you must have nose surgery together when getting paranasal augmentation. And my mouth originally didn’t protrude, but after paranasal augmentation, it looks relatively a little more set back. So even though I don’t have a small chin, my chin looks a little smaller, and overall my face does seem a little smaller. At first, the foreign-body sensation felt like there was one tooth embedded in the gum, and although I still have a foreign-body sensation, I feel like it fades little by little each day. If more time passes like this, the day will come when the foreign-body sensation disappears, right? It hasn’t been long since surgery, but this has been my review so far. I hope it helps those preparing for surgery or those who haven’t been long out from surgery~ I’ll leave another review later~ And I’ll be waiting for comments from seniors who have had paranasal augmentation too. I’m still so, so curious whether it really becomes natural after a month~
