1. Yeoksam O After only going around Apgujeong and nearby areas, I went to Yeoksam Station and had no idea how to find it, but later I saw this place didn't even have a sign -_-; I ended up doing all kinds of ridiculous things, like asking 114 for the phone number from a public phone booth, before I could find it. (For anyone who might get lost: it's on the 10th floor of the building behind the R hotel near Yeoksam Station [oddly enough, you can see a sign for O Korean Medicine Clinic;;].) Compared with other places, this place had a very hospital-like atmosphere. The first thing I noticed was the clean-only black-and-white interior, without much cute charm. I filled out a questionnaire, chart, and so on, waited a few minutes, and they called me into the consultation room. Before the doctor came in, I talked with a nurse for a few minutes, and she strongly emphasized that the doctors were from Seoul National University. [Especially Dr. B, even saying he graduated at the top of his class -_-;] As an aside, after the consultation I received a business card, and on the back of that card it also said 'graduated at the top of his class.' As someone who usually feels sick of [somewhat excessive] elitism, I wondered whether they really had to go that far.; Anyway, a few minutes later Director B came in, and despite the talk about graduating top of his class from S University, he had a very plain and down-to-earth-looking impression. Something very similar to Kim Je-dong-_-; [Sorry]. Maybe a proud Kim Je-dong. [Smack] Anyway, he recommended buried suture double eyelid surgery for my friend and partial incision for me. His confident tone throughout was nice to see, but I got the feeling that, in the middle of his comments, he was putting down other doctors too much;; My friend: I was told that if I do buried sutures, it will 100% come undone. Director: Then go have it done by that doctor. In my view, if you do incision, it will 100% fail. Doing incision on eyes like these is the direct path to overdoing it. -_-; Anyway, he did feel very trustworthy, but he said he decides the line however he wants. I was looking for a doctor who could also take my opinion into account. Still, he feels the most reliable, so I'm stuck and can't decide either way. Oh dear. Choosing is always hardㅠ 2. Apgujeong D This consultation ended relatively simply. I consulted with Dr. C. He told me to do the buried suture method. When I asked, "Will it not come undone?" he immediately said firmly, "It won't come undone" -_-; so the consultation ended rather anticlimactically. For reference, the consultant here talks incredibly fast.; 3. Apgujeong R [formerly G] It's not very well known in this community, but I stopped by through an acquaintance's introduction. The price is... extremely expensive. -_-; More than the doctor, I really liked the short-haired consultant unni [it would probably be fine to call her an ajumma]. She consults kindly and sincerely, without pretense. The doctor said my eyes have some possibility of loosening, but even so, buried sutures would probably be better. He was open-hearted and much easier to approach than Dr. B at O mentioned earlier. [At least for me.] Other than these, I went to a huge number of places, but every place says something different, so I'm very confused. I want a very thin line, like an inner double eyelid. It seems like it would be hard to get that with incision, but when I actually think about doing buried sutures, I feel like it will come undone -_ㅠ; Quite a few hospitals said scary things like it would come undone within a year if I do buried sutures, so it's making the decision even harder. Everyone's advice here would be a big help~ -_ㅠ
