I had nose surgery this morning and I’m recovering now, but I found a genuinely useful tip I wanted to share, so I’m writing this.
Right after nose surgery, they block both nostrils completely with cotton, so you have to breathe only through your mouth. But when you breathe through your mouth, your mouth dries out really fast, your lips get completely dry, and your throat gets parched too, so it’s hard. Even if you drink water, it only helps for a very short time. In less than a minute, it dries out again.
This is the method that worked really well for me.
For the supplies, I used the same kind of gauze they stick under the nose to keep blood from flowing down, cut it in half, and folded it.
