I had revision surgery with dermis today... I had previously had silicone, but because of a silicone foreign-body reaction, which they say is uncommon, I had it removed, and after 4 months I ended up having surgery with dermis Even after looking around a lot, I felt there wasn’t much information about dermis, so although this is lacking, I’m posting it... When I first had surgery with silicone, I did it together with my chin, so it was under general anesthesia and I was less nervous, but some people said that surgery on the nose alone hurts more, so after hearing that, I was really nervous After consulting with the doctor, I went into the operating room. I had also suffered a lot with the previous silicone surgery, and after removing the silicone, the wound wouldn’t heal, so I practically stayed at the hospital from morning until evening, kept getting treatment, and suffered so much. Then when I went back after almost 4 months, the nurses were really happy to see me... They kind of acted friendly...ㅋㅋㅋ I said I was much more nervous than my first surgery and scared it would hurt, and the nurse said they had to do surgery to take dermis from my buttocks, and then I would have to lie face-up for the nose surgery, and if they did sedation twice it would be hard on me. She said sedation isn’t harmful to the body, but I would be very dizzy, so how about doing sedation only for the nose surgery and doing the dermis under local anesthesia... So I asked if it would hurt a lot, and she said it would feel like getting injections one after another ㅡ.ㅡ;; She said it would be bearable but would sting.. She kept saying that I got so scared..ㅜ.ㅜ. As I was trembling, the nurse said, “Don’t shake, unni, I’ll hold your hand later..” and things like that..ㅋㅋㅋ I prepared myself mentally and lay face-down to get ready for surgery... Embarrassingly.... I was wearing only the patient gown without even underwear, and for disinfection, they pulled my pants down almost to my knees, exposed my buttocks, and the nurse said the disinfectant would be very cold, then practically poured it on me.. from my waist to my buttocks.... It was extremely cold..ㅋㅋㅋ I was also embarrassed because my buttocks were exposed.. After disinfection, they left only the buttock area exposed in a round opening, and preparation was finished The doctor came in and said let’s make sure it doesn’t hurt too much... I went under sedation....... At first I lost consciousness, but when I heard voices and woke up, the dermis had already been extracted? and I could feel them suturing it with thread... Even while I could feel the suturing, I could hear all the radio sounds playing in the operating room, and there was an explanation about how to choose good dried persimmons, and I was listening closely to that.. Even I thought it was so funny There were no strange sounds or unpleasant feelings at all It didn’t hurt at all, and it just felt like all the strength had drained from my body... After the dermis-harvesting procedure was finished, while I was lying face-up, the doctor stepped out, and then I lay face-up again and went under sedation again for the nose surgery.. The surgery ended in almost an hour without any pain If I had known it would hurt this little, I wouldn’t have been nervous...ㅋㅋㅋ But.. after surgery, when I came home, my nose and eyes (even though I only had nose surgery) hurt like when a severe migraine comes, and the area of my buttocks where the dermis was taken hurts with a tingling pain, like the muscles are knotted up and it’s hard to walk.. After a few days, the pain should settle, right? They said that with dermis, even after surgery, the amount absorbed varies greatly depending on the person, so they would make it quite high during surgery in advance They said the shape would be less pretty than with silicone..ㅜ.ㅜ And the height too...ㅜ.ㅜ But I suffered so much because of inflammation from silicone, so with dermis, I just hope there are no side effects.. and that the nose surgery shows even a little....... That’s how I feel now, but later I might get greedy again...ㅋㅋㅋ Right now, tape and sponge are attached, so I can’t see how much swelling there is or whether there is bruising, but it doesn’t look like it’s swollen that much Anyway, I’m posting my clumsy experience I’m not good at writing, so it’s rambling, but I hope it helps
