Cheekbones and Jaw

It has been over four years since I had surgery. The shape has definitely settled now. But the skin covering my cheekbones still hasn’t properly regained sensation. It isn’t inconvenient for living, but.. you know that feeling. Even if I scratch because it itches, it feels like I’m scratching someone else’s skin. When I’m tired or when it rains, my mouth doesn’t open very wide, or from the area where the jawbone was cut, there can be a stone-powder-like sound. But recently I injured my head and had an X-ray taken, and since something like wires placed in my cheekbones showed up on the film, the doctor asked if I had cheekbone surgery. I said yes.. and when I asked whether there was anything wrong with my cheekbones or jaw, they said there was nothing wrong, and that they only asked because there was something in the cheekbone area.. Even when I go to the dentist for treatment, I struggle because my mouth doesn’t open as much as before. But there is no problem at all with living. The one big change is that my face really became smaller.. But my cheekbones didn’t reduce as much as I expected. I still hear people say my cheekbones protrude a lot. (That’s a different thing from saying my face is big.) I really think it was good that I had the surgery. Four years ago, I went to a place in Gangnam said to be the best and paid 10 million won, and I really have no regrets. It bothers me a little that my cheekbones didn’t reduce as much as I wanted. And my life changed a lot too. For a woman, facial shape is life, you know. If you want surgery, absolutely don’t be scared and just do it. Before surgery, I also worried, what if all the sensation doesn’t come back, what if my mouth doesn’t open well.. And just as I worried, not all the sensation came back and sometimes my mouth doesn’t open well, but there is no problem at all with living. Compared to what I gained, losing that much is something I can ignore and live with.
