This is my first surgery ever and my first cosmetic surgery. Today is day 6 after upper canthoplasty, and tomorrow I’m going to the hospital to get the stitches removed. I don’t have anyone around me to ask, so maybe I’m just sensitive because it’s my first surgery. The number of stitches from the upper canthoplasty is different on each side. One side has a bit more stitches and they’re tied more densely. Maybe because of that, since about day 4, the side with more stitches has been a bit redder, stings in the morning, and is swollen. Maybe it hurts more because it’s swollen too It feels like the stitches are stuck between the swollen skin. I’m wondering if this is normal before getting the stitches removed.
