I’m on day 8 after nose surgery, and my second son is 20 months old and hospitalized. Yesterday I had my stitches and splint removed, and since my son is hospitalized, today while I was putting him down for a nap, I got hit on the nose by his swinging hand. Blood had pooled on the right side of the columella, so I thought it would be okay if I wiped it and did nasal irrigation, but the blood wouldn’t come off. The tape had come loose, and more of the area than I expected had blood pooled on it. But it won’t wipe off. I did nasal irrigation twice and it’s still the same, and if anything it feels darker. I’ve been diligently applying antibiotic eye ointment and gently trying to wipe it, but it won’t come off at all What should I do about this…
