On the day of surgery, I was out of it. Very out of it. I wore a hat, took the subway, and I don't know how I got home. There was no swelling on the day of surgery, it did not hurt, and there was less pain than I expected. Days 2-3, I wanted to breathe. My ears felt blocked as if I were submerged underwater, and while sleeping I snored and kept jolting awake from apnea. It was so painful. I regretted doing it. Swelling was at its peak. Swelling and bruising moved down in order from the eyes to the cheeks to the jaw. 1 week, nasal packing removed. I still could not breathe, probably because of the rhinitis surgery.
