I had surgery on Saturday morning (for reference, epicanthoplasty + fat removal + buried-suture method) I went on Monday and had ointment applied, and they told me to wash my face starting Thursday. But discharge keeps forming on the stitches at the epicanthoplasty site, and it's so itchy. They say it's good to sleep sitting up while applying a cold compress, but now that I keep doing it with gauze over my eyes, my eyes really sting and itch. Should I still keep applying cold compresses? The clinic said it's good to do it for only about 2-3 days.. And on the first day I just slept lying down, and for the past 2 days I've been sleeping sitting up and changing the cold-pack compress every hour, so I'm sleeping very lightly and I'm extremely tired. Do I need to keep applying cold compresses in the evening or during the day? Also, it doesn't show in the photo right now, but there is a red bruise at the outer corner of my eye. Is there any way to get rid of bruising too?
