Reading a lot of surgery reviews in this community really seems to have helped me a lot. For those who are going to have surgery, I think it would be good to make sure you read reviews before going!! Just like I got a lot of help here, I’ll try to write in as much detail as possible too haha I had surgery yesterday morning, and at first, until I arrived at the hospital, I wasn’t nervous, and I was even excited because I wanted to get it done quickly lol Before the surgery, I had one final consultation with the doctor, then went into the operating room and lay right down on the operating table. Maybe because it was cold, or because I was nervous, my whole body started shaking ㅜㅜ The nurse covered my whole body with a green cloth, covered around my face with cloth too, and disinfected my entire face with antiseptic. It just felt cool. haha After a little while, the doctor came in and started designing on my eyes. He said I had a lot of sagging skin, and kept drawing and erasing the design over and over. After about 15 minutes? He said he had finished drawing it, and the surgery finally started. I just kept my eyes tightly closed and stayed still, and the doctor said, ‘Now I’m going to anesthetize you~ It’ll sting a little~’ That made me a bit scared, so I was clenching my fists tightly -_-; Some people say the anesthetic injections hurt a lot, and others say they don’t hurt much, so I was curious and worried, wondering, will it really hurt? Still, I thought it would hurt less if I didn’t tense up and stayed relaxed, so I kept thinking, ‘These eyes are not my eyes,’ relaxed my eyes, and just clenched my fists tightly. The anesthetic injection, honestly, it’s true that it stings a little~ But it’s really bearable. Unless you’re extremely sensitive to pain -_-; you should be able to endure it well. If you think that you’ll become prettier once you get through that moment, you’ll definitely be able to handle it hehe I got the anesthetic injection for the epicanthoplasty first. The doctor complimented me for enduring it well. hahahaha so I felt good During the epicanthoplasty, I could feel the scalpel cutting, but it didn’t hurt. It just felt unpleasantㅜㅜ thinking that my skin was being cut. lol I’m not sure exactly how epicanthoplasty is done, and after some time, he was suturing. The thread kept passing over my face; hehe After finishing the epicanthoplasty, now it was time for the double eyelids. I had the incisional method, and also had sagging skin removal and fat removal -_-; They anesthetized me again, this time on the upper eyelid, and the pain didn’t seem very different from the epicanthoplasty. But I got about 6 anesthetic shots on each side? Anyway, I got quite a lot lol ㅜㅜ After the anesthesia spread, he said ‘scalpel’ㅜㅜ lol and started making little cuts with the blade. Since there was blood, the nurse wiped it away. I stayed tense the whole time, clenching my fists lol After incising all the way to the outer corners of my eyes, he used something like a laser? to stop the bleeding, and really....it wasn’t exactly the smell of burning squid, but anyway, a burning smell. People who haven’t smelled it probably wouldn’t know lolololol I just thought it was unpleasant, but I was okay smelling it. It made a sizzling sound while stopping the bleeding, and I felt tingling. And the surgical light. At first it was so bright that my eyes watered and I couldn’t adjust, but after about a minute, I got used to it and it was okay. Whenever they asked me to open my eyes during surgery, they turned off the light, so it didn’t glare haha The scariest and most painful part of the surgery for me was when they cut off the sagging skinㅠㅠ That ‘sseuk-sak sseuk-sak’ sound was really..................the worst. Thinking that my skin was being cut gave me chills. ㅜㅜ And there were times when it stung a little too. I was so anxious that the anesthesia might wear off; I had so much sagging skin that they kept cutting more and more, so I worried my upper eyelids might disappear -_-; haha. When they lifted my upper eyelid to remove fat, it was dark and then suddenly light came in, which was so scary ㅜㅜ People say it pulls a bit when fat is removed, and it really did pull. lolololol Rather than hurting, it felt like my eyeball was going to come out. After removing the fat, they sutured, and I could feel the needle passing through haha It felt like they sutured a huge amount. Just when I thought it was over, they sutured again and again; Finally, it was over. Ah...........it really didn’t feel real. I felt so relieved and happy. I didn’t notice during surgery, but after it ended, the back of my head felt tight. -_-; haha Since I’d been lying down for over 2 hours, my back hurt too. Maybe because I was nervous during surgery, time passed really fast. hahaha After surgery, I did some cold compresses, then looked in the mirror. Gasp. lololol I couldn’t help but be shocked;; Still, since it was my own face, it was bearable to look at -_-; They also showed me the sagging skin and fat they cut out during surgery. There really was a lot of fat; And the sagging skin looked like eyelid tape; I think they cut out a lot. hehe After surgery, I came home, and once the anesthesia wore off, it really hurt.....it throbbed so much I thought I’d go crazy. ㅜㅜ So I took medicine. After taking the medicine, it didn’t hurt haha Ah, I think I wrote really long; thank you for reading hehe For those having surgery, don’t be nervous and have a good surgery!! You only have to endure that moment^^ Once the swelling goes down a bit, I’ll upload photos too haha
