Part 1: Consultation review after visiting 3 famous nose surgery clinics

Personally, after deciding to get plastic surgery, I read and analyzed almost all the posts and replies about nose surgery in a community, and made consultation appointments at 6 clinics that people here said were good. As of yesterday, I’ve been to 3 of them, so please read this for reference. Since I’m writing my personal impressions, I won’t write the clinic names. If you’re curious, send me a private message and I’ll tell you. 1. Clinic A Facilities: Modest, but I felt more comfortable than in a very luxurious place. Staff friendliness: The cute nurses were very kind. Even though I had a consultation appointment, I waited 2 hours. I complained a lot, but they listened to me. Good impression. Director consultation: He explained things in detail for 30 minutes. He also showed me many photos. I was startled because he put his finger inside my nose to feel it..-_-;; He gave the most sincere explanation, and he was the only one who mentioned that the surgery would reflect the characteristics of my nose, so I really liked that. Also, when I said, “I came because you’re famous,” he said, “I’m not famous at all,” which gave me a good impression. After the consultation, I liked him so much that I asked, “When would I be able to have surgery?” and he said, “You’re going to consult only with me and then have surgery? You should go around to different places,” which made my impression of him even better. Possible surgery date: Early March Surgery cost: 2.5 million won (silicone) 2. Clinic B Facilities: Not luxurious, but refined. It was clean, so I felt comfortable. My mother liked it and said it was better than Clinic A. Staff friendliness: Very kind Director consultation: I waited about 10 minutes and consulted for about 15 minutes. He seemed sharp and smart, but not particularly kind. When I asked something, he answered as if it was ridiculous. He uses both silicone and Gore-Tex, and told me to decide. -_-;; Handling both materials could be considered an advantage because it gives more options. The surgical method and reputation seemed good. Possible surgery date: Late February Surgery cost: 2.3 million (silicone), 2.5 million (Gore-Tex) 3. Clinic C Facilities: Maybe because it’s a clinic where several doctors work together, it was large and luxurious. I liked that they had Evian as the drink. Staff friendliness: Aloof. It felt like being in a luxury boutique..-_-;; After waiting about 1 hour (I drank about 3 cups of Evian), I asked, “When will I have my consultation?” and they flatly said, “We’re doing them in the order people arrived.” As if I didn’t know that, why would I ask-_-;; Anyway, not that great. It seems hard to be treated like a customer by the staff here. Consultation: I waited about 1 hour and had a 10-minute consultation. I consulted with the consultation manager. Someone who spoke well explained the surgical method to me. I liked the surgical method. But what bothered me was that the director would consult for 20-30 minutes right before surgery on the day of surgery and then go straight into surgery. They said it is possible to consult before surgery, but I may have to wait a long time, and even if I do consult, it would be difficult for the director to remember each person. Honestly, meeting the person who will change my face for the first time on the day of surgery feels like getting married without knowing the groom’s face..-_-;; Well, that’s just my thought, and in terms of surgical method and recognition, it was very good... Before going to consultations, I had misunderstood and thought that if I went for a consultation, they would decide the surgical method according to my face. But that wasn’t the case. Clinic A = method A, Clinic B = method B; each clinic has its own fixed surgical method, and they give slight variations for each person (height or material, etc.). So I had to choose the clinic with the method I liked for myself. That’s really hard. -_-;; 2. If you pay in cash, they discount 200,000 won from the above prices. All exactly the same..-_-;; Maybe they agreed on it.. 3. I also worried a lot about which clinic to choose while reading nose surgery reviews, but once you consult at clinics, it becomes clear which places are “not it.” In my opinion, it would be good to visit at least about 5 famous places yourself and cross off the clinics that feel “not it,” narrowing it down to 1 or 2 places. It’s faster to eliminate the wrong places than to get the feeling, “This is exactly where I should get my nose done.” 4. Fame is important, but I think it’s best to comprehensively consider the facilities, staff friendliness, consultation results, and so on. If you get nose surgery, you have to go to the clinic at least 5 or 6 times, so wouldn’t it be very uncomfortable if the staff are unfriendly or you don’t feel at ease when you enter the clinic? I think your own state of mind and your compatibility with the doctor are the most important for a good surgical result. I think the nose surgery skills at famous clinics are almost similar. Since there is no surgery as hard to be satisfied with as nose surgery, it seems safest to choose a place where, in the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with the result, the director and clinic staff are positive and open about consultation and revision surgery.
