I got to the hospital about 15 minutes early, and they applied the anesthetic ointment right away, the manager did~ Then I sat there while she explained what I should do after the surgery and so on, and after a little while I went into the operating room. I think they said they would wipe off the ointment and disinfect the area. And they took photos. Then I lay down on the operating table, and my mom and the doctor came in with me. So I sat back up, and the doctor made the line on my eyes with a little stick, and one of the nurses was holding up a mirror so I could see it.. And then he explained to my mom, "I’ll remove as much fat as possible. Because the flesh is thick, there won’t be any risk of the eyes looking sunken. For the inner corner surgery, I’ll open it only as much as needed so the eyes don’t look cramped." Then my mom left. ㅜ And then I lay down, the older sisters covered me with a blanket, and the doctor drew the line. After drawing the line, they put one of those round sheets with a hole cut out so only the face and nose area were exposed, like a "surgery sheet," over my face, and then gave me the anesthetic injections. A friend who had the same surgery at this hospital 10 days earlier said it hurt less than plucking eyebrows, so I wasn’t that scared, but it did hurt a bit more than eyebrow plucking ^,^ They injected the outer end of the eyelid, and when it shook a little I felt a slight tingling all the way to the front of the eye, and after a few seconds they put in two more shots at the inner corner. The nurse said, "It stings a little each time the shot goes in~" It was all bearable ^-^ It was probably because they had applied the anesthetic ointment ^ㅡ^ After all 6 shots were given on both sides, the doctor and nurses asked, "You’re holding up really well~ It doesn’t hurt?" and I said, "It’s bearable." It really was bearable ^ㅡ^ Only a little bit of tears flowed downward; it was bearable. I wasn’t whining at all, and only tears came out on their own and flowed down - ㅜ It may be different for each person and each hospital, but it seems like people who are getting surgery are scared of the anesthetic injections ㅜㅜ so I’m writing this in detailㅋㅋ And then the doctor said, "We’ll do the surgery in 5 minutes," and went out, and after one of the nurses covered both of my eyes with two pieces of gauze, she lightly pressed them while saying I might get bruising from the anesthetic shots, so this would help prevent bruises;; Then I kept talking with the nurse - ㅜ She said my eyebrows were pretty, and told me that when she was in school, she had kept shaving her eyebrows and only half of them were left - -;; She said to me, "You’re 18," and I said, "But I’m a third-year high school student," and she asked, "So you’re going into your senior year?" and I said, "I already took the college entrance exam," and from then on I talked about the entrance exam with the nurse who was pressing on my eyes and the nurse next to her .. And because I hadn’t been able to explain exactly the line I wanted before going into surgery... I was so anxious ㅜㅜ I really didn’t want a line that was only wide at the end or anything like that.. I asked, "Sister, but when the surgery is done and I open my eyes, I won’t know what the line looks like, right?" and she said the line she had made earlier with the stick while I was sitting up would be what my eyes would look like once the swelling went down.... People usually say exactly what kind of eyes they want - ㅜ.. I couldn’t say a single proper word ㅜㅜ and then... I just stayed still - ㅜ Anyway, while we were talking like that, my eyes kept feeling numb from the anesthesia.. And then, though I’m not sure exactly, after about 10 minutes the doctor seemed to come in.. The nurse said the surgery was starting.. And one nurse held my hand, which I had placed on my stomach~;; My mind was calm because my friend had said I wouldn’t feel anything and it wouldn’t hurt at all, but my body was tense. My shoulders were slightly lifted - -;; (From this point on I don’t know exactly; as you can see, it’s all ★feeling★ ^.^) I could feel the doctor’s hand moving smoothly.. So I thought, ah, they’re cutting my eye now - ㅜ Then the nurse said, "Since we’re cauterizing, there might be a bit of a burning smell," and I imagined squid smell~ㅋㅋ But it wasn’t squid smell... just a burning smell, and it wasn’t an unpleasant smell ^^ Then it felt like a stick was stirring around inside the cut flesh.. So I thought to myself, ‘Are they tying up the muscle?’ㅋㅋ After a while.. the nurse said, "We’re going to remove fat, so you’ll feel a pulling sensation," and I wasn’t thinking of anything, but what was being pulled out from my eye - ㅡ It didn’t hurt because of the anesthesia, but if I were to describe it accurately, it wasn’t a pulling feeling but more like something being pulled out - ㅜ I really never want to feel that again.. That was when my whole body tensed up the most ㅜ And then.. after a little while they seemed to do the left side right away.. On the left eye too, I could feel the hand moving again ... ‘Ah, they’re cutting this side too’ I thought .. Again there was the burning smell and the stirring, and the fearsome fat removal - 0 - It felt less like something was being pulled out than on the right side, thankfully;; But because I had been thinking about all sorts of things while they were doing the right side, on the left side I kept having strange thoughts - 0- What if I can see the outside through the hole in the cut flesh - 0 -;; What if I open my eyes 이런 all kinds of useless thoughts on my own - -;; And then I think they stitched both sides together at once.. While they were stitching, my eyelid kept lifting, and I kept thinking, oh no, I’m going to be able to see outside ㅜ But this was... when they cut the eyelid, through that gap, the light above - ㅜ what is that.. the operating light ㅜㅜ anyway, that light felt much brighter on my eyeball ; The doctor said that because my eyelids are thick, if they make it too thin it’ll come undone, so they’d make it a bit thicker...;; But looking at it, I’m not sure how many mm the line height is, but it seemed to be around 7 to 8 mm... There’s almost no sausage bulge on the left eye. But when I open that eye, it goes deeply inward, so the line visible when the eye is open is thin - 0 - The front part looks about 1 mm, and toward the outer end it looks about 2 mm. I didn’t even say anything, but somehow it became exactly the eye I wanted. Well... then they said, now we’ll do the inner corner surgery, and I thought, is the double eyelid already done..? It seemed to finish really quickly.. um;; The inner corner surgery .. this too is just a feeling, the feeling of the Mongolian fold being sliced with a knife ssssss (← if the parenthesis is the Mongolian fold and the arrow is the knife, it feels like cutting like that ssssss) They did both sides.. and now it seems they’re sewing it up~ The doctor suddenly asked, "Are you okay?" and I stayed still. He was talking with the nurse, so I didn’t realize he was talking to me..;; But then he asked again, "Are you okay?" So I said, me? and he said, "Yes -0- I thought you fainted because you weren’t answering." and I said, "You mean whether it hurts?" and then, yes yes, it didn’t hurt, I said. But... less than 30 seconds after answering, ㅜ maybe the anesthesia had worn off, because it felt like they were stitching and it was sting stingㅋㅋ It was bearable though ~ The stinging part was.. um.. about like a needle poking into flesh... It stung for a little while, and then it felt like they were cutting something with a tuk-tuk-tuk soundㅋㅋ It felt like they were cutting thread... By then I was getting tired ㅜ so I kept thinking, ‘I hope it ends soon’ .. Now the doctor kept telling me to open my eyes and close them, and then said, "Your eyes are going to get a lot bigger"~^.^ I was tired, but still, well.. everything was bearable ~^,^ And the inner corner surgery, I had very strong Mongolian folds, but my inter-eyebrow distance was 3.5, so I debated a lot about whether to do it or not. The doctor said he’d open it so the eyes wouldn’t look cramped, but because it might stick back together a little after the inner corner surgery, he’d open it a bit more - ㅡ My front corner became pointed - 0 - I don’t really like that kind of thing, but I’m very happy that the Mongolian fold is goneㅋㅋㅋ So I really hope a little bit of it does stick together again. Then the doctor left and I got two injections in the butt. They didn’t hurt much.. And then the nurse showed me the fat they had removed and the loose skin they had cut off. The round fat didn’t really feel like anything;; The loose skin was really just a little bit..;; They said they cut from the front part, and it seemed to be about 8 mm wide and 2 mm tall. They took photos again after it was overㅋㅋ Then when I went out and got to the recovery room, my mom was watching TV and eating the snacks that were there - -;; And then I did some cold compresses and left~ When I came out, there were some people there~^.^;; The manager asked me before the surgery -_ -;; It was embarrassing, but while I was waiting after applying the anesthetic ointment, the manager asked me something and I answered, and then she said to my mom, "Ma’am, your daughter is so cute," and when I was leaving, she said, "She’s gotten even cuter." -0 -;; I looked in the mirror and looked like a monster, but I guess that’s how it has to be to do business^^ㅋㅋ Still, I’m feeling good.. I guess- ㅅ-;; heheㅋㅋ Oh, and I said that by the end of surgery the anesthesia had worn off, right? Then after coming out, I took the subway for a little over 20 minutes, got off, ate, and it kept stinging until I got on the bus -0 - It wasn’t so much burning as stinging.. -_ -;; Hehe, and the hospital was really kind. When I went for surgery, everyone was friendly, and they even called the next day to ask if I was okay ^.^; They really seem to take good care of you. And about the medicine.. they gave me a prescription, for 3 days’ worth of oral medicine, including digestive medicine and antibiotics.. and also some other stuff <I forgot ㅜㅜ> they said was included. There were 3 pills per day for 3 days; And then there was Terramycin ointment, and the disinfectant the hospital gave me, and also something called ScarGel, which is applied to scars starting after the stitches are removed. Since I bought everything on the prescription, it came to 38,000 won; So when you go for surgery, it doesn’t look like it’s enough to bring only the surgery fee -^.^ They said ScarGel or whatever is not sold in many places, so they told me to buy it at the hospital in that neighborhood~~ Um, as those of you who saw my photos will know, my eye shape changed a lot~~~~(randomly) Right now I’m 85% satisfied, and I’ll probably be even more satisfied once the swelling goes downㅋㅋ A certain person asked me to write a surgery review, so I tried writing one.. It’s messy, but I did my best to write it in as much detail as I could, in my own way^ㅇ^;; umm- ㅇ - please be kind and look at it nicely~~^^ And as I was writing, I got excited and used a lot of emoticons, so even if they’re a bit hard to look at - ㅜ;; please bear with them~~ If you have any questions, send me a private message or leave a reply~^.^
