If you use silicone, it’s easy and convenient to shape, but are the only downsides inflammation and contracture? Are there any other disadvantages? Things like autologous costal cartilage or donated rib cartilage seem to get hard and warp, and I don’t really see many advantages, but surprisingly there seem to be hospitals that recommend them.
