I went to the clinic the day before yesterday.. They said if there are no particular problems now, I don’t need to come anymore.. The swelling is almost all gone.. Even so, the doctor says there is still a bit more that will go down.. I’m grateful even with my side cheekbones at this point, and they said they will go in a little more subtly until 3 months.. The jowls and chipmunk cheeks I was worried about amazingly disappeared after 3 weeks.. The swelling beside my nose that used to create nasolabial folds disappears in the evening, but is there when I wake up in the morning. Since it only appears in the morning, it seems like swelling, not cheek sagging.. They said the bones have almost all fused too.. Before, when I pressed, there was a creaking sound, and when I ran, I felt my entire cheekbone area move slightly, but now that phenomenon has almost disappeared. The contracture phenomenon in the scar tissue area still seems to appear little by little.. After moving my facial muscles excessively (like laughing hard while watching a comedy show.. lol), I feel the muscles around my nose and mouth become a bit firm and tight. If I loosen them by massaging with my hands, they become soft again.. I guess it will gradually go away like this.. Cheek sagging was my biggest worry, but thankfully I don’t think I’ve developed cheek sagging.. When I stood under a light, I used to see something like a diagonal line under my eyes, but as the swelling went down, it almost disappeared.. When I asked the doctor, they told me they performed the procedure so there would be no cheek sagging and to feel reassured.. Of course, it’s not yet the stage where I can feel completely reassured.. According to the doctor (of course, since they operated on me, they might only say good things), the bones have fused, and the muscles and skin settle over them, so as long as the bones fuse properly in the correct position, there’s no need to worry about cheek sagging. They said after about a month, the bones are almost fixed and gradually, little by little, undergo remodeling... I asked about my habit of sleeping on my side, and they said the amount of tossing and turning during sleep is not a problem, but still, it’s not good to keep pressure on it for a long time, so until 3 months, I should try to sleep on my back.. And they said with facial contouring, the face can continue to shrink or change little by little even up to 1 year, so my face now is not the final result, and that if I manage it well, it will become slimmer.. They told me to use a lot of cosmetics that improve skin elasticity, and that dermatology treatments like pore reduction or peeling are good for preventing skin laxity.. Before and right after cheekbone surgery, I was really, really worried about cheek sagging, but after a month, as the contour appeared and the swelling went down, I think I’m starting to feel a bit reassured now.. In my case, I don’t feel a big change in the front cheekbones, but for the side cheekbones and 45-degree cheekbones, even when I stroke my face, it’s amazing, like I wonder where the bones that used to protrude suddenly went.. People also say my face looks less wide than before and has become slimmer.. Because of my side cheekbones, it looked really bad when I wore my hair down, but now hats look good too.. (If your cheekbones are wider than the brim of the hat, it looks pretty awful, right? haha) Even with straight hair, since my face looks slim, the cost of a perm doesn’t feel wasted. I’m getting married in 6 months, and I really think I did well to hurry and get it done early.. Now that the cheekbone surgery succeeded, I want to shave my jaw and raise my nose too.. haha I kind of understand why people become addicted to plastic surgery...
