At the primary surgery clinic, they said it was silicone and nasal tip cartilage, and because I have a short nose, my septum is short, so if they used it, it would collapse, so they didn’t use it. I thought, I guess that’s what happened, but as I keep looking at this community, people say if the nasal tip is hard and you can’t make a piggy nose, it means septal extension. I think I also had a strut placed, but if it’s an ear cartilage strut, can you make a piggy nose? Some say if you use an ear cartilage strut and stack cartilage to lengthen the nose, you can’t make a piggy nose. What’s right? I’m planning complete removal and I’m so anxious because they say if a short nose has septal extension and then it’s removed, it collapses.
