I’m on day 10 after total nose implant removal and cartilage repositioning. Since getting the columella stitches removed, I feel like there’s a pungent smell coming from inside my nose. I do have a pretty sensitive sense of smell, and I’ve also seen reviews saying that a smell can mean inflammation, so I’m wondering if I’m just being too sensitive. That’s how I feel. Even now, when I make certain facial expressions or yawn, the inside of my nose feels tingly and stinging. The columella wound is healing well, but could it be the smell of nasal crust? Yesterday, while applying ointment with a cotton swab, one piece of nasal crust came out with it, and it was a yellowish scab.

I developed inflammation 2 weeks after nose surgery, so I took antibiotics, and at week 4 I had the silicone removed. But there is still an inflammatory reaction, so I’m looking into complete removal ㅠㅠ The clinic says we should keep trying
