On the first day, I was half-asleep, dazed from the medication and sleep.. From the second to the fourth day, the pressure from the bandage.. even blood bruising around my eyes. From the sixth day until the day the intraoral stitches were removed, each day I focused on getting the major swelling down... It’s been 4 days since day 10, and already all the major swelling is gone, with only minor swelling left.. I exercise and sweat every day. Of course, brisk walking on the treadmill and light weight training.. After finishing, I watch TV while doing cold compresses and such.. even sauna?... It seems like the major swelling is all gone after just two weeks.. and I eat well without avoiding spicy or hot foods, and my mouth opens as much as before surgery. I feel like I’m doing everything I normally do.. I wonder if it’s okay to be like this. Of course, I’m still refraining from drinking and smoking.. They say it takes 3 months for the bone to heal, but I seem to be living as if it has already healed, so I do feel I need to be a bit careful. The only time I feel that I had surgery is when I bend my body forward.. I don’t seem to have cheek sagging either, and I’m already satisfied.. It’ll probably be different again after three months...
