Day 12 after revision jaw and cheekbone surgery ^^

It’s already day 12.^^ The day after tomorrow will be exactly 2 weeks.. (I had surgery on November 10.) Yesterday, on day 11, I met a friend, and I had my hair tied back in one ponytail. (When I tie all my hair up, the swelling shows less. When I wear my hair down, I look more swollen.) Then my hair got messed up by the wind, so I let it down, and only then... my friend said my face looked a little swollen.. So I said, “I slept after eating ramen..^^;” and they believed me. I don’t think there is much major swelling, to that extent. For those who had surgery, when you look at your face on day 2 or 3, swollen up like Shrek, you wonder, will this swelling really go down? Even though I knew I would swell before getting surgery, when I saw my face looking like it was about to burst, even the firm resolve and determination I had built up started to shake. At that time, I also felt quite unsettled looking in the mirror. ^^ But all the swelling goes down. Don’t worry. However, even if it is hard to tell with the naked eye, it shows quite a lot in photos. At around 2 weeks, even people who had both jaw and cheekbone surgery should have no major issue going to work or school. Plus, if it is not revision surgery like mine, I think the swelling will go down even faster. When I had my first surgery at another hospital before, I bruised a lot, and the swelling went down very slowly.. Even when I met people after a month had passed, all I heard was why my face had gotten so big.. I posted photos in the photo section from the day I got my stitches removed on day 7, and many people messaged me saying, “You must naturally not swell much-” and that they were jealous. How.ever.. I am the type who swells extremely easily. My flesh is soft, and I really hate moving around..-_-; I swell so quickly that even just drinking a lot of water makes me feel my ring getting tight on my finger. ^^; (Also, swelling often turns into fat for me, so I live my whole life dieting.;;) I hope those preparing for surgery will choose carefully without being tempted by incorrect information or cheap prices. Many people asked me for information. I’ll write down a few tips I can give. (It’s not something to brag about, but these are things I learned from going through two surgeries.. Please use them as reference.) * There are many cases where people try to save 1 million won, then end up spending 10 million won more on revision surgery. Like me.. Don’t be too fixated on the price. * If possible, decide after going to many consultations yourself. Of course, it may be hard for people living outside Seoul, but the best way is to set aside a day, come up, bring your cheekbone and square jaw X-rays, and have consultations in person. As you consult at two or three hospitals, you’ll develop enough discernment during consultation to know which doctor suits you best and feels trustworthy. Choose a skilled doctor with clear trustworthiness and a sense of responsibility. * You should definitely study and know at least the basic concepts of cheekbone surgery methods, such as intraoral incision and scalp incision, fixation and non-fixation. If you search on Naver or various hospital sites, you can easily find that level of information. Tomorrow I’m going to the hospital for a checkup after taking postoperative X-rays. Swelling is swelling, but facial contouring surgery is ultimately a change in the bone, so by taking X-rays, I should be able to sufficiently estimate how much swelling remains and roughly how slim it will become. ^^ I’ll take X-rays tomorrow and post another update.
