About 5 years ago, I had surgery for a deviated nasal septum. During the surgery, for some reason, they used bone from inside my nose to do a septal spreader graft. They placed bone against the septum and straightened it out. From the nasal bone to almost the nasal tip, the septum became straight, but except for the very tip area, the part where the spreader graft was placed is hard, doesn’t move up, down, left, or right, and the foreign-body sensation is severe. Even if I try to have it removed, people say a perforation could possibly occur during dissection at the time of removal, and that I could develop a saddle nose after removal.
