I had my stitches removed today... 3 days ago, I had my eyes (sagging skin + full-incision double eyelid surgery) and nose (5 mm nasal bridge, nasal bone osteotomy) done together.... The moment the stitches and tape were removed and I looked in the mirror, my heart sank... Even before, many people told me not to do it, saying I had a pretty face (only when I had false eyelashes on and makeup), but I disliked wearing false eyelashes, and because wearing them for too long made my eyelids sag, I went ahead and did my nose and eyes... Of course, I have a lot of bruising and the swelling hasn't gone down much, but... The moment I looked in the mirror, I wished this were a dream.. The doctor was in surgery, so while I was waiting in the recovery room to have the line adjusted, I looked at my old photos saved on my phone, and tears suddenly poured out from regret... Especially my nose had always been very low, so it probably felt even more awkward... but the area between my brows and eyes is so high that the part from the nasal bridge to the nasal tip feels almost like a straight line... Looking from the front.. it's awkwardness itself... My eyes too.... A little later, when I went in to consult with the doctor, my first words were!! "It won't keep looking like this, right??" The doctor said, "Why?? The surgery went very well..." The doctor really, sincerely seemed satisfied, very satisfied with my surgical result... Then said that the swelling hasn't gone down much yet.. Once the swelling goes down, it will look more natural and pretty... The doctor was extremely satisfied and praised it so much... Why did the words "post-plastic-surgery depression" come to mind for me?? According to the doctor, because my very low nose was raised a lot, the area between my brows is very swollen and it will settle down.. I don't know whether I should believe that.. Everyone!! Has anyone felt despair like me on the day their stitches were removed?? When I see everyone else's photos after stitch removal, they all just look pretty and natural.... Can I believe the doctor's words that it turned out very pretty?? To me, it only looks really strange... My boyfriend looked at me and said one thing... "You had your stitches removed today... It has to settle into place...." The doctor also said, when I told them it looked strange, that I had just had my stitches removed today... Let's see in a month.. It will become very pretty, they said... For reference, I had my stitches removed 3 days after eye and nose surgery... How were you all on the day you had your stitches removed?? Has anyone regretted it bitterly like me, then as time passed, ended up with a satisfying result??? Can I believe what the doctor said????
