I’m going to have surgery for a saddle nose, so only the middle of my nasal bridge will be done with autologous costal cartilage. Since it can only be done with autologous costal cartilage, I don’t have a choice I’ll get a few more consultations, but I’m going to say I want my nasal tip to use my own tissue and only the nasal bridge to use autologous costal cartilage. But I’m curious about the foreign-body sensation, so if anyone here has had their nasal bridge done with autologous costal cartilage, could you let me know? Even if it’s uncomfortable, I’m going to do it anyway.
