20 years ago, I had Gore-Tex on the nasal bridge and AlloDerm at the nasal tip. Because the implant is showing through, I’m planning to have everything removed this time and consulted two places. I think it’ll be total removal with cartilage repositioning. The first hospital said to do it with an open approach, and the second hospital said a closed approach would be fully possible too. Since my first surgery was closed, I’m drawn to closed, but if I want it done accurately, open seems better, so I’m debating. Can old Gore-Tex be removed cleanly with a closed approach?
