It had been about 20 years since my surgery. Silicone, septal cartilage, and ear cartilage were used, and although I didn’t have inflammation, I think contracture gradually developed over time. At first, I didn’t even realize it was contracture; I thought my skin had become thinner and the cartilage was showing through, so I figured I needed to have the silicone removed. With help from posts in this community, I started consultations with the three major removal clinics, but the more consultations I went to, the more frightening things I heard, so I ended up consulting at 11 places. For reference, among the photos posted on the removal/reconstruction plastic surgery forum, it was hard to find anyone whose nasal tip had lifted more from nasal contracture than mine, to the point that my nasal tip was very much…

I developed inflammation 2 weeks after nose surgery, so I took antibiotics, and at week 4 I had the silicone removed. But there is still an inflammatory reaction, so I’m looking into complete removal ㅠㅠ The clinic says we should keep trying
