Facial Surgery Reviews@face-review

It seemed better not to wear the compression band..

I heard about the compression band in a community, so I thought everyone used one, but the hospital where I had surgery said they don’t use it. The doctor said it has no effect and actually makes the swelling go down more slowly. But since everyone kept talking about compression bands, that hospital got one on its own. It’s like a band, the kind that wraps around the face. At the hospital where I had it done, I stayed hospitalized for one day after surgery, then the very next day they removed the blood drain, took off the thick bandage wrapped around my face, and I went home. After that I didn’t use a compression band. It hurt, so I couldn’t even do it. Then I tried it once or twice. Now it’s my 3rd week.. my swelling also went down a bit quickly, and from about day 5, if I just wore a mask and let my hair down, nothing looked strange. I started brushing my teeth from day 7 and it was no joke ㅋㅋ Today I accidentally chewed raw pork belly, but it was too much, so I cut it up small and just ate it ㅡㅡa I eat marinated meat with rice just fine. My mouth opens all the way, I can laugh freely ㅡㅡa all my fingers fit in. That’s a good thing, right? When I look at the compression band, it seems so uncomfortable.. And I also wash my hair with my head bent down. The doctor said I could if it didn’t hurt.. Every hospital says such different things. Now maybe it’s a plateau, but the swelling isn’t going down much. For a while it was going down fast.. Now only my side profile is slim, and from the front there’s no effect. It’s swollen. People who knew me before don’t notice ㅡㅡ People who are quick to notice ask why my cheeks are swollen~ If my face were swollen from eating something, my whole face should be swollen, but only my cheeks are swollen, so maybe it seemed strange and they asked, so I mumbled my way through it. Before surgery, when the hospital where I was getting it done said they don’t use a compression band, I really worried about it.. but the compression band isn’t a big deal, is it?? Actually, thinking about it now, if I had used a compression band.. I feel like the swelling would have gone down even less..ㅡㅡ And also, hospitals really differ in all kinds of ways. Other places remove stitches around day 9 and such, right? The place where I had it done uses dissolvable sutures... but they remove them at week 3. If you don’t want them removed, you don’t have to, but everyone seems to get them removed. Someone else said week 3 hurts the least.. It’s amazing how different aftercare can be.. ㅡㅡa
