Maybe because I had so many areas worked on from the start, other people say they’re okay after 5 days, but honestly, I’m only now able to talk a little and stuff. I still can’t eat rice, and I’m only at the level of eating thin rice gruel. I’ve just been drinking tons of beverages, and even eating that much is annoying because I hate having to gargle afterward. Really, if I had dieted like this, I think I would have become so slim. I had my jaw, cheekbones, forehead, and revision eye surgery done. I had my eyes done 5 years ago, but they looked too artificial, so I redid them to look natural again. The doctor also told me to redo them.. I had it done on 6/1, so it’s been a week, but I have no idea when the swelling will go down. My face seems the same, and at least my eyes are opening now. Until the day before yesterday, because of the swelling my eyes wouldn’t open, so I couldn’t see in front of me and just had to lie there like a corpse. On the first day, when I came into the hospital room after surgery, I thought, “I didn’t die,” but before I even had time to sigh in relief, my whole face hurt, blood kept coming endlessly from inside my mouth, and there were two blood drainage tubes stuck in my mouth. Drool kept dripping, so they basically stuck tissues to my mouth. My lips were stretched wide open because of the blood tubes, and it hurt like they were going to fall off. It hurt so much that I couldn’t even lie down, so I sat on the bed asking only for painkillers and waited for morning to come. But without any reward for waiting, from the next day my face started swelling, and really, I thought it might burst. Actually, I thought my cheekbones and jaw would hurt, but my forehead hurt more. My head hurt like it was going to split, and I really couldn’t sleep. Other people also said the forehead hurt more. I suffered a lot because my forehead, which I hadn’t expected, hurt so much. Blood collected in my forehead, and I think a blood clot formed, so they reopened and stitched it again twice. And they drained blood and fluid about 5 times. Even so, my forehead still hurts. They said I have to keep the forehead compression bandage on for 2 weeks before they remove it. The incision was also 5 cm. The swelling is at its worst on days 3 to 4. Even the inner part of my lips swelled up and came out, and my face looked like an African refugee’s. My eyes were swollen too, so I couldn’t see in front of me, my nose couldn’t be seen at all, I had bruises, and on top of that there was the facial compression garment and pressure too. I haven’t been able to sleep comfortably even once. When I lie down, it feels like my face will burst out of the compression garment, and maybe because my blood circulation isn’t good, I sleep 30 minutes, wake up, then lie down again. Of course I can’t eat rice. I was so hungry that I tried to eat porridge once, but even that was hard to swallow, so I gave up and am barely filling my hunger with pumpkin juice, seaweed soup, and things like that. I had the stitches removed from my eyes today, but they said my forehead and inside my mouth need more time. Everything was done through intraoral incisions. For the forehead, I had a 5 cm scalp incision. My previous double eyelids were big, but this time they made them so small that it seems strange too. Since there’s still a long way to go before the swelling goes down, I’ll have to wait. Anyway, looking back on the past difficult week, I don’t want to go back to it. More than the surgical areas hurting, my throat hurts, the swelling hurts, it’s hard because I can’t eat, and many other things are also so hard. My face is still swollen, so I can’t really say anything yet, but it seems the angularity is gone, my forehead protrudes now, and although I can’t really see my cheekbones because of the swelling, they seem okay. Right now my head is so itchy, and I’d have no other wish if I could wash my hair. Because of my forehead, I think I’ll have to wait another week though ㅠㅠ My lips feel like an electric shock is tingling through them. They said this means sensation is coming back, and my lower jaw is a little like that too. Day by day, my teeth show a little more and my mouth opens more, so I guess that’s proof. When I see my eyes getting bigger and stuff, I feel happy by myself. But my swollen lips still have a long way to go before they shrink.... After actually having surgery, I wondered why I had been so nervous before doing it. Once you have surgery and get anesthesia, you don’t know anything... Though after waking up, you have to go through a war. I read reviews in this community and thought it would hurt like death, but it was better than I expected. I’m also really dramatic about pain and extremely scared, but I managed to do it. Maybe because I thought it would really hurt, I think I endured it well. My forehead hurts so much and is annoying though... An older woman who had breast surgery at the same hospital also said the forehead hurt more than the breasts. Anyway, I think it’s extremely hard until about day 5 after surgery. Once that period passes, it becomes bearable. I’ll diligently do warm/cold compresses, and once the swelling goes down, I’ll post more information^^ And I can’t go home this week either because of my foreheadㅠㅠ Other people go home after 5 days, but I’m staying for 2 weeks. I want to go home. Thinking of the face that will become prettier, I’m spending another day today too. And I uploaded photos in the photo section~ Please look at the photos and evaluate them for me~^^
