I am someone who had cortical osteotomy. I'm regretting it nowㅡ.ㅡ Seeing an incident that happened at the same hospital makes me even more depressed. The hospitals being mentioned all seemed like the work of brokers, so I searched the internet by myself, read posts on a community site, and had it done at a place I chose. The hospitals being mentioned didn't fit me after consultations. So the hospital I chose.. From the moment I touched my bandaged jaw after surgery, something felt uneasy. Even while the bandage was removed and I was getting treatment, I felt uneasy and asked the doctor.. I also made a drawing and posted it here.. It's the scream phenomenon. Also called cheek hollowing.. When I open my mouth, it looks really awful. Frontal-view effect.. muscle reduction.. none of that exists. I should have listened to the doctor at ㅇ Plastic Surgery who said, "What kind of frontal-view effect would there be with 2 mm?" I was disappointed by the somewhat rude-seeming attitude, and chose this hospital because the doctor was kind.. Impression.. kindness.. none of that matters. Other people who had cortical osteotomy said they had no problems at all, and people who had surgery at that hospital only posted good reviews, so I thought it would get better if I waited and stopped paying attention to it. But seeing someone who suffered harm from another issue and is fighting the hospital makes my heart collapse too. I was also thinking of going to the hospital if things still looked really strange after waiting, but I'm scared I might be treated that way too. I said I would say just one thing, but this got longㅡ.ㅡ What I want to say is this. Don't be swayed by how well the doctor or consultant talks, and avoid places that quote and recommend surgeries beyond what you need. Choose carefully a place that provides good postoperative care. For me, it was called accommodation, but I was practically left alone in a tiny room. The refrigerator was lousy, so I couldn't ice properly, and the swelling was no joke.. And don't do it because the deposit feels like a waste.. or because you feel rushed by time, thinking you won't have another chance if not now. I'm someone who had surgery like that and paid the price. Don't ask which hospital it was. I'll only tell you that the doctor is very kind.. and that it is a place that recently made money and moved. I regret not going to a hospital that many people go to. Please don't be tempted by unusual methods or new names.. Sorry for rambling..ㅡ.ㅡ
