My surgery was scheduled for 4 today, but it got delayed a bit, so I had it at 5, and doing both epicanthoplasty and lateral canthoplasty took 1 hour and 10 minutes. I was really worried because of the lateral canthoplasty, but the director said it won’t reattach, so don’t worry, sleep as much as I want, and don’t stress about it. I was doing it because my eyes looked sharp, and at the first consultation they said there wouldn’t be a big change, just that the outer corners would lower a bit, but when I had another consultation before surgery today, the director looked and said, “Oh my.. your eyes are going to get a lot bigger~,” so I felt slightly better. Eye shape matters too, but everyone wants big eyes. I don’t know exactly how many millimeters. Anyway, the back was opened quite a lot. Once the pain gets a little better, I’ll check how many millimeters. But seriously, lateral canthoplasty hurts so much ㅠㅠ I had sedation anesthesia and then local anesthesia, and once the sedation started, I was riding a roller coaster through a tunnel full of pretty colors, going round and round like crazy (I think I was grinning and saying something because it felt good-_-;) After a few dozen minutes (the nurse said the sedation was 10 minutes), I came to and saw they were doing the lateral canthoplasty on my right eye. Even with anesthesia, it was throbbing.. so this is the pain of lateral canthoplasty.. I really felt it.. I didn’t even know the epicanthoplasty had been done. I had double eyelid surgery 8 years ago, and compared with lateral canthoplasty, double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty are nothing, nothing!!! ㅠㅠ It hurts.... It hurt on the way home too, and it’s still throbbing now.. sometimes there’s a sharp sting too.. I’m happy my eyes got bigger, but my dad asked what I’m going to do since there are no eyelashes there -_-;;; My right eye bled a lot, so it’s very swollen. During surgery, the director asked if I was possibly on my period.. or taking any medication. I wasn’t-..-; I bled a lot during double eyelid surgery too, so not bleeding is also a blessing. Right now the right side is very swollen, so photos are a bit much. I’ll upload comparison photos tomorrow or the day after lol I didn’t have big expectations, but now that I’ve actually seen it opened(?), I’m looking forward to how it’ll look after the swelling goes down lol But when I look in the mirror, it feels a bit unfamiliar, so I’m scared too. I’m afraid my face might disappear -_ㅜ
