I had incisional surgery at a local clinic in middle school, and after about 8 years, I wanted revision surgery, so I went around for consultations. I went to several hospitals in Seoul and decided on one. (It was expensive, but I don’t know why; all the hospitals I consulted at were so expensive, so I chose this one.) First of all, it’s been over a year so I don’t remember clearly, but Banobagi was around 4.5 million won?
I decided on incisional revision surgery, ptosis correction, and epicanthoplasty. (I had posterior/lower canthoplasty separately 3 years ago, but didn’t see any effect.)
They were kind before surgery, but after surgery they lost interest, whether it was the consultants or whoever. But it was the same when I had my nose surgery too, and there are hospitals that aren’t like that, but it feels like hospitals generally don’t really pay attention once surgery is done.
I wanted it to be defined but natural, and rather than saying the surgery itself was botched, they set the line too high in a way that didn’t suit my face. I wanted something natural. Because the line was too high (when I went for consultations for revision rhinoplasty, other plastic surgeons also said the line was high), I was dissatisfied. The incisional line was also too obvious, and the asymmetry between both sides was severe.
The epicanthoplasty was natural. The ptosis correction was just... the double eyelid line was too high and the incisional line was extremely obvious. When they removed the stitches, they removed them badly so I had a scar, but it disappeared with time.
Since it was already revision surgery, I don’t plan to do it a third time, but if I could go back, I don’t think I would do it here.
