Eye Surgery Reviews@eye-review

A Rude Clinic T^T

I had surgery in Apgujeong on 6/7.. It seems like buried suture double-eyelid surgery, but there are several stitches placed vertically along the double-eyelid crease. Um, is it not buried suture? -_ㅡ; I was searching around online and the doctor seemed confident, so I didn’t get even one consultation anywhere else (because I thought I might get conflicted for no reason) and just went ahead with it. Since it’s far from my house, I decided to have the consultation and surgery on the same day, but there wasn’t really anything you could call a consultation! They told me to come by 3 PM, but I arrived 30 minutes early, so I did an ice pack for about 30 minutes in advance and then went to meet the doctor~ He kind of... reminded me of Mr. No Joo-hyun. He was that old, too. Right away, looking at me, he said, “Hmm~~ your eyes are pretty” -_ㅡ; He touched my eyelids and said, “Your skin is thick, and there’s some fat.. I’ll make them pretty! Go out and wait” ㅡㅡ^ The only thing I said was,, just one word: “Yes”! Then I waited a bit and went into the operating room and had the surgery. The surgery was done in the usual way^^ But! Even there, the doctor spoke informally, saying “Open your eyes! Close your eyes!” They did local anesthesia and injected directly around my eyes, and it hurt like crazy. Oh, and before the surgery he prayed too..ㅡ,.ㅡ I was extremely flustered!!!!! The surgery seems to have taken about 30 minutes. I came home with Band-Aids on my eyes and wearing a hat. If I wore glasses, the hat lifted up, so I couldn’t wear glasses either,, and I couldn’t see the road well, so I even got on the wrong subway..ㅠㅠ I think just the subway took 2 hours. They told me to come the next day, the 8th (Thu). That day they disinfected the area and removed the Band-Aids. Then they told me to come again the next day, the 9th (Fri). I said yes... and came home, but going back and forth was so exhausting.. I had to take taxis too. So I called and asked. I asked whether they would disinfect it the same way tomorrow too.. They said yes. So I asked if I couldn’t do it myself~ and what disinfectant they use, and they said if I was going to do that, not to touch it at all and to make sure to come the next day, the 10th (Sat). So I went on Saturday. But disinfecting both eyes took 5 seconds! ㅡㅡ; They said it was all done! Then because Sunday was in between, I went on Monday and had the stitches removed. On Monday they told me to see the doctor before leaving.. I went, and he gave me a Bible! I feel like I heard more about the Bible than about the surgery. Around lunchtime there, they even gather and sing hymns! Anyway, after the doctor removed the stitches, he said to come once more on Wednesday, but because of my schedule I couldn’t, so I went on Friday. I went with so much effort.. so much effort, and that day too, disinfecting both eyes was over in 3 seconds. I even asked if that was all! I don’t know whether she was a nurse or an assistant, but I didn’t really like her. That clinic is open until 1 PM on Saturdays, and that day I was a bit later than usual. She called, and the nurse said, “Aren’t you supposed to come today?” “Yes! I’m on my way now.” “Didn’t I tell you to come at 11? Where are you now?” ㅡ,.ㅡ “I’ll be almost there after just two more stops~” “You can’t be this late!” “I... I’m sorry. I’ll be there soon.” And then she hung up before I did! Actually, I don’t even remember being told to come at 11 on Saturday. No matter how much it’s a private clinic, do they not train people there, or do they just have no sense! When I heard the phone click, my blood pressure really shot up! I held it in~~ really held it in~~ And then when I got there, they disinfected for 5 seconds! Plus, when I arrived, she was already in her street clothes and on the phone? Then what does 1 PM mean.. I held it in and said, “You couldn’t leave because of me, right?” “Oh my~~ nooo.” ㅡㅡ^ I just held back. I thought this is the last time.. haha The nurse seemed like she was trying to be kind, but in my eyes she was very rude. -_ㅡ; I think they should at least explain what they’re going to do next time and have phone manners. Is my thinking strange? When she spoke to me in a scolding tone or hung up first, I got angry too... This isn’t what I originally meant to write.. but I felt wronged^^ Next time I’ll upload post-op photos^^
